TorahTrek Retreat for Rabbis & Cantors
Join colleagues for a program of Jewish spirituality in the breath-taking embrace of the Tetons in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Spouses welcome.
This unique retreat integrates an active tour of the Tetons with a TorahTrek program in Jewish Wilderness Spirituality. With local wilderness guide Samuel Singer, participants learn about the wildlife, botany and natural history of the greater Yellowstone eco-system while hiking and rafting in the pristine beauty of Jackson Hole. Rabbi Mike Comins incorporates tefilla, study, chant, moving meditation and other spiritual activities in the daily program, including hitbodedut (alone time for spiritual practice). Two short periods and an extended afternoon session of (safe and supervised) hitbodedut are scheduled. Participants learn practical tools to help them explore their connection to mitzvot and God.
The program includes two evenings at leisure in the town of Jackson,
known for its numerous art galleries and fine dining.
